The proprietor of a finance agency was arrested by the Peenya police for allegedly blackmailing and extorting from a cable operator posing as a CCB officer.
The accused, Srinivasa Gaddige, 40, owns a finance agency in Peenya. He was arrested after the sufferer filed a grievance with the police when he began demanding more cash.
According to the police, the sufferer, Manjunath, 49, is a cable operator in T. Dasarahalli. He was in a relationship with a lady who works within the workplace of Srinivasa.
The couple used to satisfy at a lodge in Basaveshwaranagar. Srinivasa, who got here to know in regards to the relationship, managed to put in a digicam to document the personal moments of the couple.
Using the clip, he referred to as Manjunath posing as a CCB officer and threatened to foist circumstances on him.
Srinivasa took ₹6 lakh from Manjunath promising to “close the case”.
After receiving the cash, Srinivasa began demanding more cash. Unable to pay more cash, Manjunath approached the police and filed a case.
Bases on his grievance, the police arrested Srinivasa and charged him for extortion and blackmail.
